Teachers everywhere are experimenting with modifications to improve student behavior in the classroom, home and community. " How Does Your Garden Grow?" explores the effect of garden activities on students with behavior and learning problems. The research attempts to explain the natural curiosity that some children have toward plants and how this interest can be develop social and nurturing skills of difficult students through garden activities.

Laura Weber

Laura Weber is the mother of 9 children and taught 1st and 2nd grade for 9 years in the state of Louisiana. After moving to Rome she taught in Bartow County for 5 years and earned a master’s degree from Kennesaw State University in Special Education. She is currently pursuing a specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Berry College. Her interest in children with learning difficulties encouraged her to explore various teaching strategies for children with special needs.
